Staff & Instructors

Kentucky Diving Headquarters' instructional staff has more than 80 years of combined teaching experience.  We think our instructors make up the most professional and dedicated staff anywhere. If you're considering learning to dive, you don't have to look any further than Kentucky Diving Headquarters. Let us introduce ourselves...

Greg Lickteig, Owner/Dive Control Specialist Instructor

Greg has been with Kentucky Diving Headquarters since 1996. He started working for the shop just as a summer job and then worked his way up to become the Owner of KDH. Greg enjoys teaching new students and helping them with anything they need when it comes to the diving world. Greg can service just about any piece of equipment as well. So when it comes to complicated repairs ask for Greg, he will be more than happy to help you in any way.

Bill Dunbar, Open Water Instructor

Despite his obvious youth, Bill started diving in 1968 and has completed over a 1000 dives! Now retired, Bill was the Chief Investment Officer for Commonwealth Bank. If it involves water...or boats... count Bill in!

Kevin Humphrey, Open Water Instructor (a.k.a Watermonkey)

Most of Kevin's time is spent managing Midwest Equipment where he's the general manager, but during his rare spare time, he likes to coach fast pitch softball for his travel team (Louisville Lady Sluggers/Consultant for Sacred Heart High School & Mercy Academy High School).

Currently helping co-teach U of L 2009 Scuba Cards Class.
